My Injen fit well (better than the AEM before the blower) after I trimmed about 2 inches off the cold air extension.

The Injen fits pretty nicely.

If you want one for fairly cheap hit me up with an email. I have one that fits a JRSC'd b18c1 perfectly. IMO it is better than the AEM because it has 3" piping compared to the smaller piping of the AEM.

The letter from Larry states: "To date, no production Thompson Engineering Mega Tubes have been built, or sold to to any customers with B series Honda engines with our reworked JR blower package. The ONLY Mega Tubes that we do stock for the B series applications are meant to work with the manifolding of our own blower systems, and these will not fit the Jackson Racing based kits". This is in a letter I recieved from Larry on Monday, he wrote it on 7-17-01.

I sent him a threatning letter because that is the one thing I purchased that he never gave to me. Of course he never told me they did not exist. He never even hinted to it. In fact, when I picked up the motor in December, it was supposedly inside the crate. When I got home, I found out it was not.

Long story short, he refunded the money I requested. Hey... it only took me since December, but he did comply nonetheless.

Anyway, I did not start this thread to bash.. I need a CAI.

The Arospeed front mount intake looks interesting... Anybody use it? I'm not sure if I'm into the "fake intercooler" look. Almost ricey.

The Comptech package looks good too.

ImportTuner (Donny) makes a custom 3" CAI. I have seen pictures of SeattleSI's (Cisco) on ClubSI who also runs a JRSC. I think he wants $250 for the setup.

Do not use PVC. that is a very very bad idea.When PVC gets hot it releases fumes that are not good for being consumed by a motor....
Wait a second..lol pvc does release gasses if you burn the stuff... LOL its not going to release anything pulling cold air in from the fender well.. think about it.. you run HOT water through the pipes in your home no? that would be quiet a bit more heat then whats coming through an intake.. so your right and wrong..

Allan, I'd bet that you could make anything work with some enginuity, including Colby's D series Thompson tube. The cold air tub that I made is specific for a Civic engine bay, but the tube itself might work, as well as any of the others mentioned.

Colby, I hope I didn't strike a nerve with my "cosmetic" commments. The blower really does look good! Hell, I bought a whole new car to look good! I understand that you've put the small pulley back on. How is it running?

To use PVC would be a bad idea for a turbo application, but I think it would work fine here.

Also, I remember seeing somewhere, I think on vtec.net/geesr, about moving the battery and removing the plastic piece to open the cowl up to pull high pressure air from that area. That seems like a great idea to get cool air since the JRSC's don't seem to respond well to the longer tubes that CAI's have.

About the Civic Thompson tub on a GSR, one of those pictures is of the typeR. It's ABS module looks smaller than the one in my 95 GSR. The shape & position of your ABS module may determine if the tub shown will fit or not.
